WISDOM Project as invited Keynote Speech at the Greater Mekong Subregion Workshop, GMS, in Kunming, China

The WISDOM Projects results of the project's first phase have been presented on October 29th, at the Greater Mekong Subregion Workshop, held from October 29th to Ocotber 31st in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. The workshops extensive programme featured speakers from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and China - thus, all the Mekong Basin counrteis were represented. International experts from Germany, Australia and the USA rounded of the Programme.

Research results presented for different parts of the Mekong Basin originated from the fields of hydrology, water quality research, dam construction and hydropower, river ecology, remote sensing, climate change analyses, preservation of cultural traditions and many more. Cooperation options were exlored in depth, and agreements for future exchange of information and ideas were signed.
